Meal Train for Three Area Hospitals-How You Can Help
To our friends and community,
These are crazy banana times. As you know we and all other non-essential businesses in NJ have had to close by Executive Order and rightly so. Our doors have been closed since March 16. First by choice as we felt that we were not able to social distance simply due to the nature of our therapeutic services and then by Executive Order. We are following the federal guideline of April 30 as a target. This may likely be longer and we will just roll with it. Appointments through April 30th at this point are automatically canceled. No need to call or worry about a cancellation fee. This temporary closure is the best way our government and public health officials believe we may protect the health of our clients, employees, and community. If by a miracle we are able to open earlier, we will be reaching out to you tout suite to see if you would like to reschedule any appointments to make your stress levels go down from a 10 or if your a member of Spinal Tap probably an 11.
While our doors right now are physically closed, we’ll be staying in touch online. Self-care for mind and body promotes a strong immune system, your best defense during this time. Here are some ways we’ll be able to help you continue your wellness journey:
Community.
If you’re wondering how you can support our business, we have an answer: simply read on for ways that we are trying to make our idle hands busy! Help our nurses and Drs. and our local restaurant business at the same time.
While we are researching if we can or can not offer chair massage to our health care workers (it seems unlikely, as the lockdown for families alone is very drastic) we are working on other ways. We want to FEED our health care warriors. We have set up a MEAL TRAIN for the month of APRIL to go to three area hospitals. We will list the link here—> Feed our ICU Health Care Workers
The best way you, a consumer may help is by making a small donation, anything, This will serve two purposes, FEED our health care workers and keep our local restaurants working. Hence, the Paypal donation. I am available for any questions via email. All information is in the Meal Train Link. We have an aggressive three times per week delivery schedule to these hospitals that are working very hard (this is becoming flexible due to the high amount of donations and instructions per hospital which is wonderful!). These health care works and support staff are working incredibly hard for our general safety and wellness. We can nourish these workers with healthy, nourishing, immune-boosting food sourced from local restaurants.
We are feeding the following hospitals:
St. Barnabus Medical Center
Morristown Medical Center
University Hospital Newark
Mountainside Medical Center—The have a GoFund Me Page ***Help them directly here. -Mountainside ICU-has a GoFundme Page-->https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-feed-our-healthcare-heroes
It means we can continue to be here for you!
After yesterday’s email, we had so many wonderful kind words sent to us. We even had a fantastic, immune-boosting Chicken in a Bag recipe sent to us from our lovely client Lauri D. who’s grandmother lived to be a 103! We have Lauri’s permission to share it here, so enjoy it! Check out some of our past socials for other recipes.

It helps our spirits!
We all feel the need to do something. It is really easy to watch news updates for hours, but this is not healthy or helpful for me personally. So while I wait for more information, phone calls and emails to be returned from the SBA I need to DO something. This is it. I need to organize feeding people.
Zoom Weekly Check-Ins.
Would you like us to schedule a facial zoom appointment so we can check on your progress and stay on track, just email us and we can make a quick free of charge zoom video call and look at your skin and recommend some simple home care tweaks that you can do at home during this time. The earliest we can schedule is for this Wednesday.
It means we’ll see you soon!
As soon as our Executive Order is lifted, we will be firing up our hot stones and aromatherapy to lift everyone’s spirit. We will be here for our healthcare workers. Now and after Covid19. After a long sleep and rest, I am sure they will be ready for some serious self-care. We will be here for them and you.
With gratitude,
Amy Waldorf
